That's pretty cool. I may just get the PS3 version now.

Awesome, I might grab it too.

Well if I was going to get it, then the PS3 version would be a no brainer even if I wanted it on PC.
So...does the PS3 version come with a CDKey then? Sure you have to link your PSN account to your Steam account, but whats to stop me from borrowing or renting the PS3 version, linking the accounts, and just getting the PC version free?
Even if it has a code you could turn around and sell the PS3 copy and get quite a bit of your money back out of it.

Yea enough people have already talked about this for me to think that Valve have considered this and have probably done something to stop people from taking advantage.
I am thinking there is a code like you say.
I bet it is going to only work with new copies, as you say. And yes, I bet a lot of people are just going to buy the PS3 version, use the PC key, and then then move the PS3 version on eBay.

Am I the only one that played Portal that really didn't think it was all that great? I mean some of the writing was humorous, but it wasn't some huge gaming revelation for me.
The gameplay mechanic itself was neat, but I grew bored with it quite fast. I know the title garnered almost universal acclaim. It just didn't grab me, I suppose.

Awesome move, Valve. :)

I thought it was a good piece of the Orange Box. I didn't mind it... but it didn't grab me either.

I'm with you, K. I'm a big fan of puzzle games and the gimmick got old for me pretty quick. I never even finished it, short as it was. I still don't see what the big deal is.

The amusing stuff happens in the latter half. The game made me feel dumb though. :(
-
I managed to finish the game, but more in a "God let me get through this so I can move on to something else" way than "I'm really enjoying this"
way.

Wasn't the whole point of giving the PC version free with the PS3 version to encourage cross-platform play? Like if someone got the PS3 version they could give the PC version to a friend?
My plan was to get the PS3 version for a friend and keep the PC version for myself so we can play together.
