Title: The Banquet (Ye Yan)

New Chinese movie starring Zhang Ziyi.

Basically a retelling of Hamlet.  It's a very artistic piece with some beautiful shots.  The story and development is half decent, although a bit on the slow side.  The ending sucked though.

Anyway, worth checking out if you're interested in Asian cinema.  It's also an official entry to the 2006 Foreign Film Oscar I believe.

I had hopes for it....but it just wasn't what I expected.  It just got uninteresting as it went on, buh.

I do, however, have high hopes for Curse of the Golden Flower.

Tell me this doesn't look awesome.

I'm down to see anything with Ziyi.  Sounds like an interesting concept.
