The more automated cars get, the closer I come to actually wanting one.
-
Automation is great, but what happens when a death is caused by a technical glitch or a situation which the system isn't designed to respond to? Massive lawsuits. There is a lot of liability inherited when then manufacturers take the controls from the driver.

I might actually miss driving though. Especially old bad ass cars that are primal, powerful, basic, and just fun to drive. Automation is pretty cool though.

That's not going to change any time soon, if ever. Like the automatic parallel parking feature in some of the new cars: the car is not preventing you from doing it yourself if you want to.
Anyway, I like the projected map feature, but all the pop-ups (like where you can charge the car) seem very distracting. And video chat? Umm... more distractions? Isn't that what we are trying to prevent?

Off topic, but after looking at that, I followed some links and found this episode of Top Gear. Shit is hilarious.
