Title: Apparently Excite Truck sucks.
Post by: ScaryTooth on Wednesday, November 15, 2006, 05:50:19 PM
6.8 from Gamespot. (http://www.gamespot.com/events/wiilaunch/story.html?sid=6161717&pid=933000&tag=topslot;action;2&om_act=convert&click=topslot)

I was going to get it too, but whatever. Looks like it's only Zelda so far. I'm actually thinking of Trauma Center 2, I dunno. We shall see.

Doesn't seem like it sucks per se, but it's short, repetitive, and nothing exceptional.

Like Excite Bike. I read the review and the game doesnt sound so bad. Not a lot of depth, but a fun racer anyway.

The tilt is at 8 too. If I had a Wii I'd buy it as a bargain bin game, but not for $60.

IGN gave it 8.0

Seems like the problem is the game lacks length and depth.

That sounds like 90% of racing games to me, but whatever.  *Shrug*  But yeah, too bad it didn't have a bit more going for it.  I really wouldn't mind fiddling with the controls for a while.

I wasnt all that impressed with the videos I saw and stuff I read. In fact I thought of the abysmal big mother truckers game with a graphical uplift at first impression.

I'm not a huge fan of racing games, but there will be an occasional one that I like. This looked like fun because of how it's controlled, but I'm not so sure now. I may pick it up when it hits the bargain bin.
