Title: Favorite games of 2010

OK I am writing a piece on favorite games of 2010. Could you guys tell me yours and perhaps what you liked about them? I would like to quote gamers. It doesn't matter how many games you name. I am sure I can get lots of quotes from MyD. :)

Of 2010.. Hmm.. Battlefield Bad Company 2, Mass Effect 2, God of War 3, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Splinter Cell: Conviction, CoD: Black Ops, and Enslaved.

I might be missing a few but these are the ones I could think of off the top of my head.

I actually have to think about which games I have are from 2010. I keep coming up with "Oh how about..." and checking its release date and so far they aren't right.

Oh, I actually found one. Yakuza 3! Lots of fun minigames from batting cages to gambling, plus you get to beat up every bad guy in Japan.

Mass Effect 2, God of War III, Starcraft II and Heavy Rain stand out for me in 2010 as the heavy hitters that were worth playing.

Limbo came out in 2010 on XBL but I just picked it up on PSN and it's amazing.  The challenge and traditional side scrolling is fun, but what truly stands out is the bleakness of the environment how punishing the game is.

It's a tough choice but I'm gonna go with AC: Brotherhood: it had a unique multiplayer experience in a year full of online shooters; despite all the marketing campaigns being completely focused on Brotherhood's multiplayer aspects the game surprised me with a full-length story-driven single-player experience.

Honestly, I nearly mentioned Batman: Arkham Asylum but then realized it was a 2009 game. Still on my list of best games this decade.
