Yes. Yes it does. It's not too surprising either. No one wants to feel they were stupid in buying into a particular brand. If the brand fails, the buyer loses confidence in his own judgment. I can see that devolving into a blind zealous loyalty for some.

The article makes a lot of sense. I mean, we reach out to the brands we like because we empathize with something they offer us. We let them into our lives and take the brand on as part of our own. Brand loyalty is a difficult bond to break. At least as long as the price is right :P
