Good find!  I feel pretty embarrassed for those people.

Fuck, I had to stop reading those after a few minutes because I was starting to become filled with rage.

The gas-in-boat one I can identify with, not that I have a boat or have paid for gas to put in a boat ever but just a few weeks ago we were invited out on some guy's boat.  During the ride, the guy explained to Jennie and I that it took him $1900.00 to fill up the tank last time.  He said a day fishing trip is like $400-$500 in gas.  But they guy also has a $600,000 house, some nice ass Mercedes and a Range Rover.

Hillarious site, although I can relate to the no phone in the bathroom one.  And also boats.  They're expensive as fuck, but so awesome that they're almost worth it...as opposed to a luxury car, per say.

What really made me sad is when I read Scott's post and was like "Aren't all houses at least $600,000"?  Get your shit straight, Vancouver.

Someone gave me a little "wisdom" book many years ago.  it's a long list of short advice snippets.  Your comment reminded me of one of them.  "Resist with all your might any desire to buy a boat."

If all houses are $600K+ in Vancouver, maybe they do have their shit together.  If they're selling for that much, it means people can afford that much.  Around here, people can't afford a third of that.

That site is a hoot.  These people need the Trading Places (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086465/) treatment.

Haha, no.  In Cincy the cost of living is really down there.  Like Cobra said, a nice big house is maybe a little over $200k.  But unemployment in Cincy is high and I heard that a lot of people were having trouble getting loans over $150k.  In Florida, the housing market is behind other markets.  The foreclosure thing is still in full swing down here where many other areas of the country have already gotten past that for the most part.  I believe the $600k home was closer to $900k before the crash.

I really can't think of a worse deal for US travelers than hotel Internet. Price and Speed are usually both pretty miserable. #TravelFact

I was at a hotel once where about 70% of DNS lookups would time out.  Good times.
