My pc keeps crashing when I go online, its been doing it for a while, but I'm sick of it now and I have to either fix this or chuck this fucker out the window. It usually crashes when I go to a heavy site or open too many windows...or when it just feels like it. I get this this "BSOD" message
stop: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0xf87a0121, 0xf04696cc, 0x00000000)
usb100tx.sys - address f87a0121 base at f879f000, datestamp 3c9ad945
I've done searches for it, but the info hasn't been helpful, can anyone help a frustrated person out?

USB driver. Upgrade your motherboard drivers. If that doesn't work, reinstall the OS.
That's the first step. If that doesn't fix it, then it's either a bad motherboard or power supply.

I had a friend with a similar problem with the same usb100tx.sys file in the error message and it ended up being something with his USB wireless adapter. He updated the drivers for it and it fixed it, you may get lucky with the same thing.

Dammit! I can't even find an update for it, all of the downloads for it are extinct.

I have the latest drivers, any other ideas?

Bad RAM? Thats what happened to me when one of my sticks or RAM was bad.

Try reinstalling the drivers. Failing that, I'd do an OS reload.

Most USB issues I've had were resolved with an updated BIOS. Flashing the BIOS is risky though.
