Title: I Need Some PC Help
Post by: nickclone on Monday, October 24, 2011, 05:24:22 PM: My pc keeps crashing when I go online, its been doing it for a while, but I'm sick of it now and I have to either fix this or chuck this fucker out the window. It usually crashes when I go to a heavy site or open too many windows...or when it just feels like it. I get this this "BSOD" message

I've done searches for it, but the info hasn't been helpful, can anyone help a frustrated person out?

Post by: scottws on Monday, October 24, 2011, 05:34:54 PM: USB driver. Upgrade your motherboard drivers. If that doesn't work, reinstall the OS.

That's the first step. If that doesn't fix it, then it's either a bad motherboard or power supply.

Post by: TheOtherBelmont on Monday, October 24, 2011, 05:36:49 PM: I had a friend with a similar problem with the same usb100tx.sys file in the error message and it ended up being something with his USB wireless adapter. He updated the drivers for it and it fixed it, you may get lucky with the same thing.

Try reinstalling the drivers. Failing that, I'd do an OS reload.

Post by: Xessive on Sunday, October 30, 2011, 12:21:38 AM: Most USB issues I've had were resolved with an updated BIOS. Flashing the BIOS is risky though.
