I was a geek before geeks were cool. </hipstergeek>

Also Donnie Darko is a horrible movie.

I've still never seen it.

This is cute, but basically all wrong. I mean, I doubt it's setting out to be scholarly, but when you get down to it, today most people are somewhere between the two. And being a nerd or geek doesn't have a whole lot of social stigma any longer. You still meet people with abrasive or abnormal personalities that you might associate with one of those labels, but that's about it. I'm still surprised to see people talk about nerds or geeks. I honestly don't know anyone under 40 that isn't one or the other in some capacity.

On my side of the world most people are jocks, businessmen, or sleazebags (or a combination of all three).. I stand among the sparse minority of geeks.

I can readily identify with some of the geek traits on that image but not the nerd ones. Although it seems according to that image the major difference between geeks and nerds is fashion.
