And I like to think I taught him how to talk to women way back.
Super congrats dude.

So how are you gonna pop the question?

Yea we had been dating 7 months and we decided it was time. We understand each other really well, and love each other. :)
It just happened and it was beautiful and amazing. :)

Congratulations, Pug.
Have you looked through the private correspondence and gone "OH MAN WHAT WAS I THINKING?!"
Because that's a good feeling to know you've moved past that and that your life is much better for it.

I didn't even know that engagement parties were a thing.
-
Pug is this something she knew about ahead of time? The way you presented it and the picture suggest it was. I'm not quite sure of the cultural differences, so I didn't know if like you asked her ahead of time, she said yes, and the actual "engagement" was the ceremony.
-
You already have a ring? Nifty. Is that a cultural thing to? The way I understand it in the States the bride gets a ring for the engagement and then a complimenting ring for the wedding. The groom only gets a band at the wedding itself.
More importantly. Congrats to your wife to be. That's one good looking fellow there.

Congrats Puggy!

Thanks everyone. :)))
I am so happy.
Engagement here is a bit different. This is our 8th month dating and we decided to get engaged after talking about it. So then we had our families meet and approve of each other. It wasn't necessary, but culturally important... if it hadn't worked that way, we would have worked with it, but it is ideal in our family based culture for that to happen. Fortunately, our families really got along.
Then our parents set the date for the engagement party, where there was a ring exchanging ceremony etc. :)
Here once you are engaged, you both exchange rings. On wedding day, you exchange better, wedding type rings. :P

Huh, thats an interesting way to go about it. Cool.
