Tomorrow! (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/02/06/woo-hoo-the-simpsons-arcade-game-hits-psn-tomorrow/)
Might also be on XBLA, I didnt check. But its got a Freeplay mode with unlimited continues, but also two Quarters modes. One where everyone pulls from a single pool of quarters, and the other where each player has their own pool. Also a Survival mode where you have a single life to play as far as you can.
The only complain I'd have right now is looking at the screens I hope they have other "frames" available around the gameplay image. I mean...damn, could it be any more plain and ugly?

I tried this on XBLA. I never played it in the arcade, but it looks like straightforward emulation, with the Japanese ROM unlockable after completing the game, according to a review I read. (It says "Japanese ROM" in the menu, greyed out.) Display choices are smooth (filtered) and sharp (jaggy), as well as stretched to fit or the correct 4:3 aspect ratio. You get the first level up through the boss (in the demo). If you liked this before, it should be perfect for you. I couldn't see spending $10 on it.

The second screenshot at that site makes it look like the dude with the log is about to ram it up Homer's butt.

Hahaha, that is great!
While this game was fun back in the day, I'm with Cobra on the price being too high. There's a quicklook on Giant Bomb for anyone curious to see the emulation in action.

$10 is too much.

Its sad that companies have a hard time pricing these things.

I remember loving this game as a kid.

Yeah, they need to be more realistic. Sonic CD came out recently as well, except that was priced at $5, and it is supposed to be the best version of that game yet. It includes both the American and Japanese soundtracks. That's more like it. I may actually grab that at some point.
