Title: More bundles
Post by: idolminds on Tuesday, April 03, 2012, 08:56:58 PM
Indie Royale (http://www.indieroyale.com/) has the April Fools bundle coming in the next day or two, now taking preorders. Apparently some super special people already got their games unlocked in Desura so we know the list ahead of time:

Defense Grid: Awakening
Explodemon
Hack, Slash, Loot
Alien Zombie Megadeath
Astro Tripper

Which is a pretty nice list. I'm going in for the Hack, Slash, Loot which seemed fun.

Also coming soon is Indiefort (http://www.indiegamemag.com/gamersgate-announces-the-indiefort-bundle/) which is being run by Gamersgate. This thursday they will be launching a bundle with the following games:

Cardinal Quest
Black Market
Kenshi
Steel Storm: Burning Retribution
Devil Whiskey
Wanderlust

Which again is a pretty sweet list. Kenshi was something I've been watching because its an alpha funding game that sounds cool, but the rest seem just as neat. Seems like the price starts at $6, but you can always give more and it will go right to the devs according to GG. So I'll be all over that one.

Both of these bundles are available now, and heres a direct link to the IndieFort bundle (http://www.gamersgate.com/indiefort-bundle-1). I already have 2 of those games, but I wanted Kenshi so...screw it, its mine.

Yeah Im tempted. Eden I have on PS3 and the PC one requires Steam so...I dunno. Not like I need it. Escape Goat looks cool, and Noitu Love 2 I know is cool. Dunno about Auditorium.

Bundles are hard.

Indie Royale July Jubilee (http://www.indieroyale.com/)

Puzzle Agent
Geneforge Saga
Oniken
Mutant Storm
Swift Stich
Unepic

Pretty awesome selection this time. All have DRM-free and Desura copies, a few have Steam keys. Unepic is the one Im looking forward to playing since the demo was pretty great. And the other games look pretty cool too.

Latest Indie Royale has some fun-looking stuff and I snagged it, but wanted to mention that if you go over $8 it's got music. Nothing game-related, just some stuff from a guy calling himself Floex. And it's really good. Some of it reminds me of the Mirrormask soundtrack, has some jazzy undertones, some nice beats and cool electronic accent stuff. Worth your time and cash.
Title: Re: More bundles
Post by: idolminds on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, 01:39:16 PM
Yeah the new bundle looks nice, but I'm really only interested in those Platformance games and it would be cheaper to just buy them on Desura.

Indie Royale Stuffing Bundle is out! (http://www.indieroyale.com/)

The Dream Machine is pretty sweet. It's a claymation point&click adventure! Reminds me of The Neverhood.

Newest humble bundle is exciting but also a big letdown.
THQ Bundle:
Darksiders
Metro 2033
Red Faction Armageddon
Company of Heroes
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor

Beat the average:
Saints Row The Third

Sadly it seems like they broke their streak of DRM free, as every game here requires Steam.
Title: Re: More bundles
Post by: Xessive on Thursday, November 29, 2012, 02:41:58 PM
Well, HIB7 is still on its way ;)

This particular bundle is just part of THQ's last-ditch effort to make some cash. Rumour is they're already selling off some of their major IPs.

I've never purchased anything from Humble Bundle before...
...so, how do most of y'all pay?

Can you do say Paypal via a Credit Card? Or Paypal via your balance there?
What the hell is this Amazon Payments thing?

EDIT:
I feel like such a HumbleBundle N0ob.
Title: Re: More bundles
Post by: Quemaqua on Thursday, November 29, 2012, 05:11:33 PM
Amazon payments is just Amazon's version of Paypal. I think you can do whatever.

Everyone should get this just for Saints Row III, bloody great game. I'm tempted to get the PC version of that (I have PS3) and Metro 2033, but... eh. I don't need more games. I need less games. Do they have a bundle for that yet?
Title: Re: More bundles
Post by: MysterD on Thursday, November 29, 2012, 05:16:29 PM
I own most of THOSE games...
...so if I went in on this, most of my keys they would be EXTRAS.
I'd be happy to give my extra keys away.

I think COH: TOV is the only games I don't own there.
I own COH + Op Fronts from Retail, not on Steam.

EDIT 1:
Oh, it comes w/ soundtracks, too?
AWESOME!

EDIT 2:
Oh, they give you separate keys for each 1, right?

EDIT 3:
Nevermind - one for the main bundle. Bummer on that part.
Well, I do need COH series on Steam, so that part is cool for $1 + Soundtracks. :D

Title: Re: More bundles
Post by: W7RE on Friday, November 30, 2012, 05:09:01 AM
I've always bought the HIBs with Amazon payments, never had any issues.
Title: Re: More bundles

I've used both Amazon payment and Google Checkout, both are very convenient payment options.
Title: Re: More bundles
Post by: MysterD on Friday, November 30, 2012, 05:57:49 AM
I bought THQ Humble Bundle via PayPal last night. So, yay. :D
Since I owned all of the other stuff - got my COH series on Steam. :D
And woohoo @ the soundtracks!
Worth the $1.

Indie Royale (http://www.indieroyale.com/) has The Winter Bundle on!

Greed Corp
Hamlet
BIT.TRIP RUNNER
Conquest of Elysium 3
Leave Home
They Breathe

Pay $8 or more and get the BLUESCREEN by Protodome (http://protodome.bandcamp.com/album/bluescreen) music album.

It's not a particularly exciting bundle (not for me anyway) but it's got a set of alright titles.
Title: Re: More bundles
Post by: idolminds on Tuesday, December 04, 2012, 01:48:12 PM
Yeah, probably wont get that one because I already own a couple of those. Really only would want CoE3 out of there.

Bundle in a Box (http://bundle-in-a-box.com/) looks good.

Shadows on the Vatican, Act:I
Delve Deeper & DLC
War of the Human Tanks
Eversion
Fibrillation

Beat the average:
The Adventures of Shuggy
Stay Dead
The 4th Wall
Flibble

Jesus. There are too many of these, and I haven't played basically any of the games I picked up in the first 12 of them I bought.

But I really dig that Protodome music. I might grab those.

For those who ALREADY bought THQ Bundle -- your account has been updated w/ extra keys thrown in for:
Titan Quest + Red Faction: Armageddon - Path to War DLC.

For those who have NOT bought THQ Bundle:
You will have to beat the average to also get both TQ + RF:A - Path to War DLC.

Groupees Build a Greenlight Bundle (http://groupees.com/bagb) is up. This one is interesting because you can select the games you want, and at least 2 to build your bundle.

Go hit the site to check the games out, you probably haven't heard of them. A bunch of them look cool. But the important part of this one is the bonuses you get. Like...oh....LA MULANA and its 3 DISC OST! YOU WANT THIS! YES YOU DO!

Indie Royale Valentine 2.0 is up.
Quote
Serious Sam 3: BFE for: steam (pc, mac, linux)
Shad'O for: steam (pc), windows, desura
Oozi: Earth Adventure for: windows, desura
Doc Clock: The Toasted Sandwich of Time for: steam (pc, mac), windows, mac, desura
Lunnye Devitsy 2013 for: windows, desura
    Wake 2013 for: windows, desura
The big game being Serious Sam 3. Dunno about the rest, I didnt research them yet.

Indie Gala (http://www.indiegala.com/?Colossus) also has a new bundle. If you amazing don't have at least 4 copies of Introversions games, now is your chance to catch up with the rest of us. What caught my eye was Talisman Prologue and Demigod. Demigod is part of the "beat the average" games and its a Steam key, but its a pretty great game if you don't have it. There also appears to be a mystery game that will unlock next week and then 2 music albums after that all for the average beaters. Unless that game ends up being really cool I think I might throw a couple bucks just to get Talisman.

Humble Bundle is doing another Mojam. 78 hours of Mojang, Vlambeer, Wolfire, etc live streaming game development. Pay what you want and you'll get whatever comes out of it. Money goes to charity. They say paying over the average enters you in some sort of raffle, but for what they didnt say.

They played a few of these games on Giant Bomb last week and they looked pretty awesome. In particular, Space Hunk looked amusing and Wasteland King looked close to a final product.

That bundle is pretty sweet! The Android versions of the games work really well; I've played them on PC before but some of them just feel better in touch.

Humble Bundle added Sword & Sworcery, Crayon Physics Delixe, and Splice. Already bought the bundle? They are yours! Otherwise beat the average.

Groupees Wadjet Eye bundle (http://groupees.com/weg) is out and about. $1 gets you Puzzle Bots and Gemini Rue, $5 get you those plus The Blackwell Bundle, The Blackwell Deception, and Resonance! Thats a whole lot of awesome point and click adventure for $5!

Indie Royale Debut Bundle (http://www.indieroyale.com/) has a selection of all new games making their debut. Check it out.

New Humble Bundle is up, all Android games. NOT cross platform like some of their recent Android bundles.

Indie Royale has a new bundle as well, including Derrick the Deathfin which looked kinda cute, and Zafehouse: Diaries seems interesting. Might grab this one.

The Spring Sun Bundle (http://bit.ly/indieroyale) from Indie Royale is up.

Quote
This sunny bundle starts at just $3.99 which is a 90% discount to their total normal price. As well as the games, purchasers will receive the original soundtracks to The Real Texas and Gentrieve 2 as well as Adventures in Pixels, the exciting new chip tune album/comic hybrid from Ben Landis for those who pay over $8. Go to Indie Royale to buy The Spring Sun Bundle now.

Monday Night Combat and Satazius are available on Steam today. Knytt Underground and The Real Texas are in Greenlight right now so please give them your support on Steam.

The Real Texas and Gentrieve 2 are available on Windows, Mac and Linux, Knytt Underground is Windows & Mac. Satazius and Monday Night Cambat are Windows-only.

Post by: idolminds on Saturday, April 13, 2013, 11:42:14 PM
I grabbed it just for Knytt Underground. Love the Knytt games. Also I heard good things about The Real Texas.

Groupees is going to have 2 bundles go up in like 20 minutes. the Topware bundle seems kinda meh, but the Alpha bundle looks cool. 4 games for $4? Sure why not.
Title: Re: More bundles
Post by: Xessive on Sunday, April 14, 2013, 12:45:45 AM
Knytt Underground is fun, weird, but fun. I have it on the Vita.

I found it kinda odd for them to list Monday Night Combat in the bundle, seeing as it's gone free-to-play last year.

Indie Royale has another bundle up. Debut 2 Bundle.

    Croixleur for: windows, desura, greenlight
Beast Boxing Turbo for: windows, mac, desura, greenlight (inc artwork, 4 tracks)
Dawnstar for: windows, mac, desura, greenlight
Battlepaths for: windows, desura, greenlight (inc 3 tracks)
Out There Somewhere for: windows, desura, greenlight (inc full soundtrack)
Diehard Dungeon for: windows, desura, greenlight

Yeah, its mostly to gain some exposure for Greenlight, but some cool looking games anyway. Beast Boxing Turbo looks like a cool Punch-Out game.
Title: Re: More bundles
Post by: Xessive on Monday, April 22, 2013, 12:14:17 AM
Beast Boxing is indeed awesome. It's punishingly difficult even after you get the hang of the mechanics but it is fun!

It supports gamepad as well but it's very limited.
Title: Re: More bundles
Post by: idolminds on Monday, April 22, 2013, 11:31:39 AM
I'm tempted to grab it just for that one. I haven't decided yet.

But in the meantime...ANOTHER BUNDLE! Groupees Build a Greenlight Bundle 2 (http://groupees.com/bagb2) and its got some cool looking games. Buying it just for that card game, plus some others. Cool part is you don't have to buy every game, theres a minimum of 2 for $1.50. Pick and choose!
Title: Re: More bundles

Another Indie Royale

Pid for: steam (pc and mac), windows, mac, desura
Cargo Commander for: steam (pc and mac)
Back to the Future: The Game for: steam (pc and mac), windows, desura
Dungeon Hearts for: steam (pc, mac and linux)

3 more games will be unlocked as well, but we don't know what they are yet. Pretty nice selection so far.

Humble Double Fine Bundle (https://www.humblebundle.com/)

Costume Quest, Stacking, and Psychonauts. Beat the average for Brutal Legend. All DRM free (and Steam keys). $35 also gets you Broken Age, their kickstarter adventure. $70 gets you a tshirt...which may be the most expensive tshirt on earth.

This is probably a great way to get some extra funds for Broken Age. Hope it does well for DF.
Title: Re: More bundles
Post by: Xessive on Tuesday, May 07, 2013, 11:30:47 AM
Ouch.. $35 to get Broken Age added on there? You'd be better off just beating the minimum at $8 (or even $10 if you're feeling generous) and just pre-order Broken Age for $15 from Double Fine directly, total $25.

Humble Bundles are more about the donations and charity.

*I can taste the value* hahaha

No, you beat the live average.  The average right now is $8.12 so you have to beat that. If it goes up or down from that in next few minutes/hours/whatever, then you pay whatever it is then.

I got in on the bundle so I could get Stacking and Costume Quest (I already own all of the other games and I am a backer for Broken Age).  I didn't end up beating the average but I already have the prototypes from the Fortnight bundle.  I hope they end up doing something more with some of those prototypes since a few of them were fun.

Primordia was unlocked as the final bonus in the Groupees Be Mine 8 bundle. Only think that really stands out to me in the indie royale is that Gas Guzzlers game. Normal price is $20 on Desura...I wonder if its worth grabbing the bundle just for that one.

Groupees -> FrogWares' Adventure Game Build-A-Bundle. (http://groupees.com/sherlock)

Sherlock Holmes series; Dracula series; and Journey to the Center of The Earth are the games you can pick from and bundle up how you like.

ALL have a DRM-FREE version from them to download directly, at the very least.

Dracula: Love Kills is the only game w/ only a DRM-FREE version.
Most give you that DRM-FREE version + another version.

Some also give you extra Steam-version keys (all Sherlock Games listed on there; Dracula: Origin).
Some also give you extra GOG-version key (Journey to the Center of the Earth).
Sherlock: Silver Earring also gives you GOG-version keys & Steam-version keys.

Beat the average for:
Frozen Synapse
Broken Sword: Directors Cut

I threw a couple bucks their way because I wanted Stealth Bastard Deluxe and Organ Trail DRM-free. So yay!

So all of those have android versions as well?   I'll probably jump on this even though it will mark the third or fourth time I've paid for Aquaria.

Played some Organ Trail. I was playing it pretty fast and loose which ultimately was my downfall. Scavenging and other minigames can be really tough to win and I should have taken more breaks to rest my crew. Crew was myself as leader, plus Pyro, Que, Belmont, and Sy. We hopped in our station wagon in DC and headed for the other coast.

Things were going pretty well for a while. Had plenty of supplies, not many injuries, and had a relatively nice trip. But then we passed Chicago and things started getting rough. Fought off some biker gangs which banged up the car a little. Ran out of a few supplies but didn't have too much trouble grabbing more. But then...we got near Texas.

Little money and our supplies dwindling. Sy gets held hostage and I got one shot to save him. Luckily I did, but we were out of medpacks and the next town didn't sell any...he eventually was incapacitated and killed. Que is incapacitated just as we roll into Dallas (is this game mimicking real life?). I need a medpack to revive him and no one in Dallas was selling any. I decide to shoot him in his sleep. Belmont, Pyro, and I set out for the long trek to the next waypoint....a strip club. Its painfully obvious we do not have enough fuel to make it. This is going to be rough, but the strippers will make it all worth while.

The car suffers several broken parts which I did not have replacements for. First a battery dies, then we blow a tire, and then the muffler breaks. Pyro gets dysentery and dies. Belmont also dies while we wait on the side of the road for someone to trade with for what we need. Finally someone comes along and I trade for my stuff. I should have rested....just an hour or two. But just mere miles from my destination, strip club in view...I die at the wheel.

The Prarie Dog Bundle (http://www.indieroyale.com/bundle/the-praire-dog-bundle) from Indie Royale is on.

It includes:
Retrovirus
Signal Ops
Zack Zero
Vox
Sol Survivor

Plus one mystery item yet to be revealed.

Retrovirus is pretty cool if you've got a hankering to play something like Descent and Zack Zero is a pretty spiffy side-scroller, Metroidvania-style but not quite as complex.
