If you haven't seen it yet, check it out: &feature=youtube_gdata_player
The hologram looks unbelievably good. It loses a little bit of its magic around 2:30 when Snoop Dogg comes out but when it's just 2Pac on stage, that looks pretty damn lifelike.
I wonder if in the future hologram concerts from dead performers will be a somewhat normal thing. It's hard to imagine paying money to go and see hologram Jimi Hendrix in his prime or something like that but at a music festival, I'd watch.

That's a bit crazy. I wonder how they manage that?
It's entertaining, but sort of a novelty. I can't really see myself giving a crap on a regular basis. With rap it's one thing, I guess, but I mean... if it isn't live, it isn't live.

Yeah, I can't imagine wanting to see a hologram. I mean it's neat as far as tech goes, but dead artists? No thanks. I can magine current artists being replaced by holograms during parts or even the whole show in the future. Hey they lipsync now anyway. :P

There's already something of a market for hologram performers (remember Hatsune Miku (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatsune_Miku)?). Still, that sort of thing goes over well who are already inclined to love an animated girl. For everyone else, I imagine this will become something more like window dressing to other events.
If they could ever work this out to capture live performances they could do something to put out a series of concerts from some sort of mother concert that could be cool.

This must have been such a strange experience for Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.

Girl Talk shows are about to get SO MUCH more awesome.

Turns out it wasn't an actual "hologram" but just a mirror.

Especially since it's well-documented that Dre and Pac never got along, anyways...

How about his mum, dad, siblings, children? People who loved him in general? :P
