Title: Grandmother passed away yesterday

Funeral will probably be towards the end of the week, so we'll be flying up to Michigan for that. It sucks, my Dad and I had planned to come visit her this year due to her declining health, she's 85. That's not going to happen now. She was my last grandmother, bummer.

That sucks man, sorry to hear that. I guess around our age it starts getting hard to hold onto them. I've only got two left myself, only one by blood (other one is a 3rd wife). Both are basically out of it and pretty much inaccessible.

Sorry man.  Losing your grandparents is tough.  I wish I still had mine.

Sorry to hear that. man.  My sympathies.  My mom is 83, so I have that blow coming up in the not-too-distant future.  Best wishes to you and your family.

Thanks everyone. We were closer to her when we were younger when our family made more regular trips to visit. Over the years our family and my dads family spoke to each other less and less, my Dad feels lots of regret over it and his brothers are giving him a hard time about it. We weren't able to make the funeral because of it. However sometime this month we plan to fly over there and have a private moment with her so we don't plan to just let it go like that.
