I think it would be interesting to have a thread on our life goals and maybe talk about what we need to do to accomplish them, and what is keeping us.
1. Published author: I want to finish my book, and get published. While I do write regularly for a newspaper now, I find I just don't have the energy between that and my regular work. At the same time, I am turning 32 and I should be published already. I don't know if it is motivation that keeps me or a lack of energy, or just fear of hard work.
2. Make out with AngryKeebler: I feel this will happen soon, so I am not too worried.

Right now I'm trying to get back into programming so I can do some new personal projects or maybe even get back into it as a job. I've always wanted to get into AI, but whenever I get started something eventually throws me off (regular work) and then I'm forced to start over. I've gone through this cycle a few times already.
In general, I need to figure out what I want to do. I've always been proud of being able to do "everything", but I think it's time I focus on something and delegate the rest to hobbies. For example with photography I've done some big fashion shows and projects recently, but now I just don't find it as enjoyable on it's own anymore. I've basically stopped doing my "photo walks" all together recently. That be fine if I didn't have so much money invested in gear though (photography as a business is definitely not cheap).

Does "taking it one day at a time" count as a life goal?

Does "taking it one day at a time" count as a life goal?
It seems to be the one goal that survives all others.
