Kill them with fire?
-
It must suck to be them.
-
One of these people could pay for me to live comfortably (by my standards) for the rest of my life and not even notice the cost.
-
Yes.
-
I'm not one of those people who has anything against the wealthy, hell I grew up in one of, if not the, the wealthiest area in Canada. These people are complete D-bags and the biggest argument for a populist uprising.
-
Haha
-
I'm not necessarily against someone being wealthy. It's just a strange contrast when you're near one end of the spectrum and see people on the other end.
For example, the other day I saw a game developer tweet a picture of a bottle of Cristal champagne he was about to open. A quick Google search tells me that's $200-300 at least. THAT'S MORE THAN MY MONTHLY RENT.
-
It is different when a game developer who has earned it buys expensive products, and these people who were born with wealth waste money on trash and treats others they consider to be lesser to them with cruelty, contempt, and hatred.
The game developer still understands the value of money.

Well, I was going to say something about unearned wealth being bad. Then I realized that if I won the lottery or inherited millions, I would NOT give a shit if I had earned it or not. I also wouldn't be a rich asshole or waste it though.
I guess it's more about attitude and what you do with it than it is about how much money you have or how you got it.
-
Yeah, whether or not the wealth is "earned" doesn't really make a difference. You've got people like Bill Gates who end up dumping a huge chunk of their wealth into charity. At the same time I've got friends who are barely making enough money to survive, yet spend any extra they earn on overpriced bottle service at a local club.

I thought about that. If you won the lottery and suddenly acquired wealth it would be understandable if you go nuts for many reasons. These people are born into wealth for generations but their culture is of wastage and all round dickery. The way they will treat their servants a man wouldn't treat an animal. Am I generalizing? Yes. Am I generalizing incorrectly? No. Have I met a lot of people of this background? Yes.

That's kind of awesome

WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU LIVE?
But yeah, I agree 100% - it's not really about how you earn the money, I'm judging motherfuckers based on: a.) what they do with it, and b.)how they do it. B is probably of the most importance in my mind.

WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU LIVE?
Middle of nowhere, North Carolina. It's a run down house, probably 1000 square feet or so. About an acre of land. $225/mo.
The owner was going to just have the place bulldozed and my dad and I convinced him to let us clean it up and have him rent it to us.
-
Wait a fucking second. You pay $225 TOTAL? or that's your portion?
-
$225 total.
$60/mo for phone+internet
Last month's electric was $100
$385 total for rent and utilities the beginning of this month.
-
North Carolina sounds gooooood....
-
That's actually pretty cheap, even for this area. The house isn't in very good condition either.
-
FML. You don't even want to know what I pay.
