Title: Japanese woodblock print Kickstarter?
Post by: TheOtherBelmont on Saturday, August 11, 2012, 12:52:53 AM
Odd thing for a Kickstarter, right?  Not when its a Kickstarter featuring Japanese woodblock art (ukiyo-e) of videogame characters done in a traditional Japanese woodblock art style. (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1499165518/ukiyo-e-heroes)

I plan on getting the Kirby and Castlevania ones.  I have another painting done on a Giclee print in my living room so I am familiar with the type of stock it uses and its going to look great hung up in a frame.  If you look at the Kickstarter there are images shown for all the prints they are going to be doing and there's also a link to some larger images here. That's actually kind of amazing. I don't love all of them, but the idea is fantastic. If I had money I'd definitely grab one or two.
