Watch:
I don't care what side of the fence you are with regards to this topic, however if you attend a protest at least be able to articulate why you are there or be able to answer a simple question. I can't believe these types of ignorant people are located in my city. It makes me very, very sad.

Insanity - n. Repeating the same behavior and expecting different results.
Hamas is insane. Why anyone would defend them, even Palestinian sympathizers, boggles my mind.

Well, between an unrelenting resistance force and a genocidal invasion force I'd side with the former. Hamas may be over-the-top violent but it's understandable; Hamas is a beast that was created by atrocity. Given the circumstances, who wouldn't be that insane if their people are being massacred for that long?
It's a tough scenario. I don't agree with Hamas' methods but I don't fault them either. Israel's genocide of the Palestinian natives has gone unchecked for far too long.
Anyway, coming back to the original post, the people protesting seem all-over-the-board, ranging from the eloquent to the "just-learned-English." Bear in mind, SUN News editing could be responsible for some strange responses, some of the interviews look like they were cut up in weird places. Either way, some of these people were aggressive, it's a protest after all. Anyway, SUN News is more of a tabloid :P hehe
Nonetheless, I agree with Cools. People on protests need to be able to clearly articulate and pass their message without any confusion.

I'm just sad that these people are present in my own city. I don't care what side you are on, just make sure you can at least explain why you are at the protest. And yes, there is no doubt that this piece is biased and was edited to portray the protest in a negative light, but that doesn't mean these people weren't there. I don't think anyone would attend a protest without being somewhat sure of their reasons for being there so you should at least be able to answer basic questions without ending up sounding like a complete lunatic.
Again, I'm not trying to make this about the actual conflict. I would've been just as shocked if I heard similar comments at a pro-Israel rally.

Yep, I know how you feel, bro. When I was in St. Catharines we'd come across protesters whose behaviour completely neutralized the original message they were there to give in the first place, no matter how noble it is.
A few year's back in 2006, when I was in a protest (in Toronto too) it was pretty clear that even though many articulate people were there, plenty of oddballs made an appearance as well. And no matter how many solid individuals you had, the freaks are always the loudest and most visible in the crowd.

This reminds me of why I totally stopped going to political science classes. Fuck these clowns.
