Really? A FREE PC Release??!?!
Hell yea, I'm there! :D
Now, if ONLY we can get Capcom to bring ALL of the OLD Mega Man & Mega Man X series to the PC....

Yah that'll never happen. Though technically you can already play all of them on a PC. Just saying.

I've been "just saying" that to peeps re-buying all those old games for years.  I don't begrudge Nintendo et al their revenue stream.  I just see no reason to contribute to it.

From the trailer, that looks like a straight mod of the old Megaman engine, no?  I hadn't heard of this until I read about it yesterday.  Free seems like the right price.  Cool.

From reading around, it sounds like this started life as a fangame. The creator showed it to some Capcom people at some event, and they liked it so much they decided to help him finish it. So that would explain it being on PC.

Downloaded.  It wants me to have Shader 3.0 and a GeForce 6600 minimum, so I guess it will just sit in my download folder until I go for a new system.  8-bit game that won't run on my rig.  That makes me sad.

Downloaded as well. I messed around with it a bit earlier and it totally brought back memories of playing Megaman 3 on the NES.  I wasn't a big gamer until after high school, but my dad bought that game for me when I was home for a stint in elementary school due to some injury or other and I fucking loved it. I guess I messed around with a couple of the PSX Megaman X games since, but none of the newer retro games and the nostalgia fully hit me when playing this and it was pretty fun, although a bit difficult to get back into.

Oh, and the sound effects of the three bosses I saw were absolutely hilarious.

I've played a bit of this and its pretty fun.  Its much easier than the actual NES Megaman games, but not too easy either.  I think my only complaint about the game is the fact that there is no save system or password system and you have to beat the whole game in one sitting.
