Title: Happy 12/12/12
Post by: Cobra951 on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, 08:04:01 AM
It's the last one of these we'll ever see in this crowd, unless Ren lives to be 120 or something.  There is no 13/13/13, etc.  I think that makes it more dramatic than 11/11/11.

Yeah, I know.  That is so deep and meaningful.   :P

I've never understood the repeating dates thing. It's not really a repeating date since the year is 2012, not 12. It's just a... repeating abbreviation?

A couple years ago the date and time was something like 01:23:45 6/7/08, but that only held true for one second, so it is harder to appreciate :P.

01/01/01 is totally doable for me. I'll only be 101.

Hmm?  That would make you the same age as my younger daughter.  Her age is easy to remember on her birthday.  It's the same as the 2-digit year.  So you're 12 right now?  You're lying to me!

I guess the jokes about me being 12 years old are harder to do when we've all been together for almost 12 years.

But for reference, I was born in 1989.

so what?

haha, irony--there was such a huge article about this little girl who turned 12 yesterday, she was born at 9.12 pounds at 12 noon..so yeah, they gave her so much coverage--to hell with news that's more worthy i guess?

So what comes after the whole Mayan end of the world thing blows over? I'm always looking forward the next apocalypse.

Inevitably some fundie makes a well-publicized prediction about the end of the world every couple years.
