It's a 3rd-person action game from Capcom with what seems to be an interesting premise. The setting is Neo-Paris, 2084.
How is it that I did not hear about this game until it popped up on Steam?!
-
I remember seeing a video for it a very long time ago. It looked interesting at the time but I forgot about it since there was no news for it for several years. And yea, I didn't hear anything about this game until now... when it has showed up on Steam. The game must have a pretty shitty marketing budget.

Indeed. I've been reading up and apparently it has been struggling with publishers (a lot of whom backed out) due to having a female protagonist. A female protagonist with a male love interest in the story. Apparently, since most publishers' target demographic is 14 year old boys they prefer to back a game where the protagonist is male. Lame excuse for publishers seeing as female protagonists are a positive thing not just for the genre but for the industry as a whole.
Here's an article I found on Eurogamer addressing that topic. (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-03-19-why-publishers-refuse-games-such-as-remember-me-because-of-their-female-protagonists)
Conclusion:
... the people choosing what game receives what marketing budget are helping continue a self-fulfilling prophecy. The majority of publishers continue down the safe route of funding male-only led games, comfortable in the knowledge that, because of this, male-only led games sell by the bucket load.
What seems to have happened is that DONTNOD (the devs) decided to focus their budget on development rather than marketing. Which, I hope, will translate to a stellar game.

Oh, man...this looks awesome.
This looks like Mirror's Edge gone 3rd person (platformer w/ female lead); Deus Ex (cyberounk setting); and Assassin's Creed (level at least looks somewhat open & you must kill some kind of main target).

The combat looks like it takes some inspiration from the Batman Arkham games mixed in with some Tomb Raider/Uncharted style shooting. Just judging from what we've seen so far it looks great; the question is does it play great?
I'm already quite interested but no real incentive to go for a pre-order.

I prefer to wait for price-drops on most games, since the market - especially on the PC - drops so rapidly, these days and age.
But, anyways - yes, this game looks really good. :D
I smell a Sleeper Hit here coming.
How the hell did this go so far under the radar for me, until now?
-
I know, right! Damn! Apparently it was called "Adrift" before.
I just don't wanna get overexcited about it but it does look like it will satisfy my adventure/action urge.

Scores all over the board!
I'll have to check it out for myself later.
-
I love the idea, and it looks pretty cool. No way I can splurge on it, but at some point when the price drops I'll probably snag it.
-
Yeah, I grabbed it on GMG with a 25% off voucher for $35; not bad for new release price-ranges. It will likely drop more in price further down the road. It's supposed to unlock for me on 7 June, so it counted as a preorder giving me the Combo Lab Pack as well.

GameSpot -> DontNod already has plans for Remember Me 2, if Capcom would actually greenlight it. (http://www.gamespot.com/articles/remember-me-2-already-has-story-capcom-just-needs-/1100-6425839/)
