Anybody who doesn't have Psychonauts owes it to life itself to buy it.  Your very existence hinges on this purchase.

I don't have it... man I keep forgetting to buy it. I might do it off of STEAM.

Much as I loathe Steam and seeing anyone use it... any support for Psychonauts is good support.  Do it.

If you dont already own Psychonauts, you should be punched in the balls. If you are female you will undergo surgery to have balls installed so you can be punched in them.

Haha I expect some time in the future the procedure will be performed in order to fuse the rift between man and woman, and their empathy for one another :P

Man it is $20 on STEAM, which I don't mind paying for the game, but come on? There isn't really a CD even. I hate the digital deliverance crap that developers and even certain publications -- that will go unnamed -- are pushing down our throats. They all tell us it is a good thing because it makes things cheaper... but why don't the consumers see any of this lower cost??

On eBay there are only Thai sellers, but I don't want the Asian stuff. Plus it is $15 + $5 shipping, which again I don't want to pay for an Asian version -- even if official.

If someone can order that thing from GoGamer and ship it to me here via USPS, I'll be more than happy to reimburse via PayPal. Though I have a lot of other games to go through so I can wait for a good deal on eBay I guess.

I'm surprised you can't find a copy there from a reputable person.  Seems odd.

Do you require PC version or would you go for a console version?  I have the Xbox and PC versions, both are perfectly dandy.

EDIT - I see some decent stuff on ebay.

PC version sold from the UK (http://cgi.ebay.com/PSYCHONAUTS-PC-MINT_W0QQitemZ260059359762QQihZ016QQcategoryZ11047QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
Xbox version, US seller (http://cgi.ebay.com/Psychonauts-Xbox-SEALED_W0QQitemZ320054298775QQihZ011QQcategoryZ62053QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
Another UK seller, PC (http://cgi.ebay.com/Psychonauts-PC-NEW-SEALED_W0QQitemZ290054084364QQihZ019QQcategoryZ11047QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Looks like there are a bunch, man.

I had been wanting to play this game for awhile, now I can, I bought it.  I probably won't even touch it until after I finish up FFXII though, but I could see myself starting it up sometime this month.  Thanks for the heads up MyD.  A question for Que, do PC game controllers work well with this game?  I have a Logitech PS2 style PC controller that I would probably be more comfortable with on a game like this.

That first link is pretty good, though the second translates to about $27 incl. shipping here. But sweet thanks! My mistake was I was looking for the 'buy it now' stuff.

Oh and thanks Que. :)

edit:

Hmmm I set an alarm for 4:00 am which is the time I have to wake up if I am to snipe the auction.

edit 2:

The ones I checked earlier were crap like this:

Happy sniping.  =)

And yes Tet, PC controllers work great with it.  I used one of those same controllers when I played through it the second time on my PC and it worked like a charm.  Even auto-defaulted to an almost identical setup as that of the Xbox version.

I use my Logitech Wingman RumblePad USB Controller for Psychonauts.
The KB/mouse controls are good, actually -- it's just I am much better w/ the control pad for this game.

Newest member of The GOG Club.
$9.99 on GOG now.
DRM-Free, of course.

If you don't own this already on the PC (or a console), now there's no reason NOT to own it. (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/psychonauts)

Double Fine has all their rights for Psychonauts reverted back to them. (http://www.1up.com/news/psychonauts-rights-revert-double-fine)

Quote
Buying a new copy of Psychonauts will now see the proceeds go directly to developer Double Fine. The company's publishing arrangement with Majesco has expired, according to programmer Anna Kipnis. She revealed the news on Twitter earlier today, although she has since said it wasn't meant to be treated as an official announcement.

Double Fine has owned the IP all along, and this new development has no effect on that. Psychonauts was originally released in 2005 on PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC. It has since been released on both Steam and the Xbox Live Marketplace's Xbox Originals service, both of which are two ways you can now buy the game and see Double Fine directly benefit from your purchase.

Crazy how fast times change.  I remember hating the idea of not having physical media, bit now I just don't care.

Also its crazy to thing about how long this community has been together.  This post is almost 5 years old and how long were we at TME before that and AOG before that?
