Pretty much.  That said, I don't think anyone in the U.S. really wants to go to war with Russia and its allies.  We're a bit war-weary.

Even if the US wasn't war weary they'd definitely not want to have a war with Russa... not in their right minds. It didn't happen at the height of the cold war.
