Turok 1 releases tomorrow (Dec 17).
Steam page is already up, but no price listed: http://store.steampowered.com/app/405820

I remember the first Turok more for bad platforming than for good dino shooting. It's also the most expensive game I ever bought, at $75. (Where does inflation take that,
20 18 years later?) I think I still have the N64 cart, in a box somewhere. It's hard to believe anyone would bother porting these now. Heh. Takes me back.

It's Night Dive - they seem to figure out all the rights (if they can) and bring back those good-to-great titles back.
I still wish they could sort out the right + distribution issues w/ NOLF1+2.

I remember having fun with Turok on N64. I didn't have a decent PC around that time, so I didn't really have access to many shooters. I did spend way more time with Turok 2 though, specifically with 4 player split-screen.
The most expensive game I ever bought was Mortal Kombat Trilogy for N64. I got it from EB Games for $95 (yes, that's USD).

I had a lot of fun with the Turoks myself. I just hated the platforming in the first one. Seemed so ill-conceived and out of place. I expected it to be more like Doom. I worked at a place back then where 3-4 of us would do some wicked deathmatches on the 486 systems of the day. I ended up bringing one of those home, and the Dooms (I & II) proceeded to consume all my gaming time for over a year.
I had resolved somewhere along the way never to spend more than $70 on a single game. Turok was $80 most places. I ended up talking a manager at (I think) Babbage's into meeting me halfway. $95 seems crazy to me even now, but it was a trilogy, so maybe it was worth it then. I never got into MK, SF, or similar--so I can't really tell. As long as you were happy with it. :)

I only really played against the AI and occasionally my brother. I've never been that into fighting games, but I played Mortal Kombat because of the gore. I enjoyed the game, and wasn't upset about how much I spent, but it definitely wasn't worth the $95, lol. I was a month or two into my first full time job, and the first time I really had money to spend. There were a few N64 games I got for full price at release, but I think MK Trilogy was the most expensive.
Turok is up by the way.
Price is $19.99, all sites seem to have a 20% off release sale, making it $15.99
I'm gonna be waiting on a sale for this one. I want to play some Turok, but not that bad.

Sweet @ it being on Humble Store.
Maybe later on, if Night Dive does another Humble Bundle, Turok will be in there.
