Heh, not exactly new news.  It's the same problem as pretty much everything else that's a problem today -- it exists because the masses are a bunch of fucking idiots who would rather be pandered to than actually digest anything worthwhile.  It's happened in food, it's happened in music, it's happened in books, it's happening in games... we live in a world full of idiots and they're going to destroy it.

I hate it when the masses of idiots ruin things for the few who can sense and enjoy the inherent richness of things. That's what corporations need: idiots to prey on.
