Are they actually making a Devil May Cry 5?  It may just be me but it seems to be a bit of a shame that they'd return to the original series instead of going with a continuation of the much better (stylistically and mechanically in my opinion) reboot.

Agreed. I liked the original games, at least kind of, but new DMC was just a much better game. More fluid, more fun, more interesting. Original Dante was funny for what he was at the time, but he's gone the way of Duke Nukem. Not funny anymore, it's been done to death, time to move on. New Dante was a much better version of that, in addition to just being part of a better and more satisfying game.

I didn't play any of them until 3 came out on PC, and to be honest I didn't know what I was getting into really.  Que Dante riding a missile two hours in while giving a hang ten sign and then playing a riff on his demonic guitar.

Just wasn't my thing, although the overall games were good.
