Why does Jimmy Kimmel even have a show?  I have asked myself this on numerous occasions and not come up with an answer.

Still, that's really, really funny.  I'd have been totally pissed off too if that were me, but still... that's really, really funny.  Too bad they had to fuck the guy over to get it.

Dude, agreed.  I loved Jimmy Kimmel when he was on Win Ben Stein's Money, but his talk show sucks.

It really does.  We already have too many late-nite talk comedy shows.  His is completely and utterly useless.

I agree, every time I've seen the show it was a total train wreck.

The only bit I like on the show is the "this week in unnecessary censorship" thing.

Edit:  That clip was hilarious.

Bah, that just ruins it. I dont like Jimmy Kimmel, and I kinda wish Matt stuck it to him.

Yeah, he was.  I always thought Adam Corolla was funnier on that show, though.

Honestly, I've always found Kimmel to be kind of gross.  I don't know what it is.  He's just one of those people I can't seem to watch while eating.  You know?  Probably from one of the grosser skits he did on the Man Show or something.  Not that I watched it much.

I think that's goddamn hilarious to be honest

I'm happy he was in on the joke, otherwise that would have been pretty low of kimmel

the fact he was in on it makes the joke... it spells it all out with the intro, him constantly saying he's bumped... maybe I'm alone on this analysis

I thought it was apparent that he was in on it, but it was quite funny I thought.

My sister agreed, except she hated the fact that he was in on it.

Quote
here is a semi-recurring joke on Jimmy Kimmel Live where at the end of shows Kimmel says "...and sorry to Matt Damon, we ran out of time," the joke being that Matt Damon was not scheduled to appear that night. Kimmel told website tmz.com that "We do it at the end of every show for no good reason at all." The joke is a reference to the fact that shows like The Tonight Show and Late Show with David Letterman occasionally run long, resulting in announced guests being unable to appear and that Matt Damon (being a big star) would not be someone you would put at the end of the show. To spoof the joke Matt appeared on Kimmel's prime-time show on 13 September, 'acting' as though he was upset with the show running out of time before he could be interviewed.
