pffffft, Phantom has a lifetime warranty.

Sweet. My mate recently got the red ring of death but was still within warranty (by 1 month) so I've been a little worried.
This is a good move on MS' part though, maybe a little slow but I guess they had to see how bad it was before doing something like this (the numbers had to get big enough I guess).
Still I feel better for it anyway.

Well, I guess they're at least aware that they've built the shittiest and most unreliable console in the history of consoles. Good for them.
-
Knowing that, I'd almost want one to break down in a year or two in the hopes that they've done a small redesign to improve reliability. With all the problems, I'm guessing they will for fear of everyone owning four 360's in their lifetime.
-
This is good news. I've had no problems with mine, but with all the reports of the red ring of death I do get scared everytime I power on my 360.
-
Unfortunately, my mother threw away my 360 box, containing everything, including the reciept.

Man, I would LOVE to re-read that thread on the IGN forums where we pretended to be Phantom fanatics and pissed off a whole bunch of people. I think that thread had me laughing more than any other thread ever.

Oh, and I bet DNF comes w/ a lifetime warranty, too -- both being vaporware and all!

And good for us. Great news. Quiet improvements filtering down through repair work would be fine by me. Heat and shitty optical drives should be their big targets.
