The Social Security office just sent us new forms to fill out for Julia's disability case.  These are the exact same forms we have now filled out TWICE, the last time being about 2 months ago.  These forms are like a billion pages long, and none of the information has EVER changed.  EVER.  And this is after they LOST a whole OTHER set of papers (unrelated to the CURRENT ones) because ONE OFFICE COULDN'T FUCKING FIGURE OUT HOW TO SEND THEM TO ANOTHER OFFICE PROPERLY, and our lawyer tells us they now expect us to wait A FUCKING YEAR for them to get their act together even though it was THEIR FAULT THE FORMS GOT FUCKING LOST.

I'm going to go put a chair through a wall now.  Thanks for listening.

Maybe not the year, but definitely the month.  I will buy you a bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos.  Unless you don't like them.  Then I'll just eat them myself.

My roommate's girlfriend was in a similar situation a couple of months ago, she's disabled as well and the Social Security office made her fill out the same papers 3 times, they lost it once, the second time they said she didn't mail it to them, when she did.  They finally got it straightened out the third time.  Being a fucking dumbass must be a prerequisite to work at that office.

How does one rate an overpaid job being a dumbass for those assholes?  Seriously, there's gotta be away to get big bucks from them doing precious little of any value.

Find an opening, sign up, and don't vomit on them during the interview.  That's basically it, which is why there are some many unqualified morons working in government offices.

Doesn't it suck realizing that the system put in place to protect you lets you down? I'm going through the same thing with my worker's comp case. After my job canceled my insurance, refused worker's comp and fired me I signed up for disability. Apparently I can't get it because I haven't worked for 5 years straight ( I just turned 23) and I couldn't get unemployment because I wasn't physically able to work.

Falling through the cracks sucks ass.
