Looks bleeding awesome (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoFYEtj2tDw).
EDIT - Courtesy of Sy (http://www.destructoid.com/can-you-spot-all-the-3d-dot-game-heroes-parody-screens--152313.phtml).
-
That does look pretty awesome. It's also from From Software, creators of Demon's Souls.
-
That looks awesome. Has a US release been confirmed?
-
I don't believe anyone's picked it up for a US release yet, no. Sadly. I'm willing to bet somebody will, though.
-
According to the official Playstation twitter (http://twitter.com/SonyPlayStation/status/5206670690), its coming.
-
Woot! All righty then. =D
-
Ok, if you needed more confirmation than Twitter, Atlus has got it covered, bitches. (http://www.3ddotgameheroes.com/)
-
According to Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/rpg/3ddotgameheroes/news.html?sid=6240538&tag=topslot;img;2&mode=previews), it's being localized by Atlus and will be released May 2010.

Natural Sword Enhancement Trailer (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/natural-sword-3d-dot-game/61545)
That looks awesome.
-
Can't wait for this game.
-
Friend mentioned it to me this morning. I looked at the blacksmith trailer and was sold.
40 dollar game too, which is awesome as well.
-
Yeah guys can we talk more about how sweet this game is going to be?
This is like a love letter to gamers our age.
-
Totally. I really can't wait to see this one in action. It appeals to me on so many levels. I just hope it turns out to be as awesome as it looks. Apparently Famitsu gave it 30/40, I think basically docking it because it wasn't new and original... which was obviously kind of the point, so that really couldn't be avoided. But they said they liked everything about it otherwise, from what I understand, and that it was a nostalgia-laden trip for anybody who's been playing games a while.

Man, who couldn't get excited about that?

EDIT - Here's a trailer I hadn't seen (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OX1bkDn0Kk8). It's like 4 minutes long, lots of great footage, and kind of funny too.

Stay Retro Trailer (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/stay-retro-3d-dot-game/63202)
I will probably preorder this in the near future.
-
I'm going to ruin this thread by saying I think this game looks ugly, I just can't get passed the style they are going for. I love sprites, I really do, but pixelated blocks of sprites, ugh, horrible.
-
You are dead to me. You're staying with Sy now.
-
I'm sure sy likes the fact that he is now considered a form of punishment.
-
Don't mock the decisions of your forum god.
-
IGN gives it an 8.5 (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/108/1084269p1.html)
One flaw with the game is that there aren't item checks -- that is, if you miss an item you won't be able to progress but the game won't tell you that you missed an item... unlike Zelda where you will get an item and use it immediately to progress through the dungeon.
Anyway, I've got it preordered already...can't wait.
-
Isn't that how the original Zelda was? I swore you could make it through the game while missing a good chunk of the items.
-
My copy arrives today!
-
I want this really badly. Which is weird, since I have no desire to be playing games at this moment in time. But I'm totally going to buy it anyway.
-
My copy will arrive next week. Unfortunately I don't really have that much time to play video games nowadays.
-
Did anyone else end up getting this and playing it yet? I'm about 20 hours in and just finished the Flame Temple and I'm having a blast so far. I've laughed out loud at several parts in the game and it's great.
-
I've put about 3 hours into it. I haven't really felt like doing any gaming in the last couple of weeks though so it's just been sitting there for now.
I'm sure I'll start playing it again in the near future.
-
I played it for like an hour or so and just couldn't get into it. But that goes for almost every game I've tried to play for 6 or 7 months now, pretty much.
-
It really didn't grab me either Que.
-
I never did make an update to this, but I finished the game a few days after that last post I made and it was great. I put in about 30 hours total, the last dungeon was pretty fun and I was totally overpowered and annihilated the last boss thinking he was going to be really tough, which was amusing. The game was pretty fun overall and has a great sense of humor.
