Here's something for 1.5 users with time on their hands.
Apparently, the tools you need are:
- PMP VLC v0.0.9
- VLC Media Player
- A WiFi connection
- TVUPlayer, and
- PSP version 1.5
For those who like to sit away from the PC and real TV, but not too far away, since WiFi is limited. Personally, I don't see it as all that useful, but who knows. I suppose if you have a pool in your back yard and a lounge chair . . .

I'll pass, though it would be kind of cool if you had a pool and stuph.

The PSP seems pretty cool for just about everything... except games!

;D ZING!

I'm getting really tempted to buy one. A new hire at work has one, and It seems to be awesome. When we work together he plays music on it and shit, it's pretty cool. I also played and beat Contra on it, and played some Super Mario Bros. It's pretty neat for stuff like that.
There is a rumor that the price is going to drop to $150 here in a couple months. I might pick one up.

$150 sounds alright though. They also look like they are coming up with add ons. Stuff like a 1.3 mp camera.

Emulation is where it's at. I love the thing for it. I've been waiting for that for years and years.

I was going to create a new thread for this, but I decided to lump PSP goodies in here for now, save some title space. Actually, this is cool even without a PSP. It's a site with eBooks (http://psp.manybooks.net/) formatted with html, which has facilities and instructions to download the eBooks to a PSP (save them to the memory card), and then view them in the PSP's browser. Works well, and the only involved step is bookmarking the names of the books you download. (The template is: file:/psp/common/filename.exp.html, where only filename is a variable.) I've downloaded 3 so far, The Art of War, The Call of Cthulu and Pride and Prejudice. These will work just fine on a PC too--just click on the green down-arrow (rather than floating the PSP cursor there, and then going into the file menu).

Oh my god, they have a section devoted to pirate tales. I am in love!
-
Oh yeah! Hadn't browsed "Categories". Nice find.

I've had a free eBook/text reader on my PSP for a while now. Came in handy reading game-related fan material like the Elder Scrolls stuph from the Imperial Library site and some Warcraft universe stuph.
