I thought it was pretty cool. I can't get enough of zombie movies. I could watch 10 zombie flicks on the trot and still look forward to more.
Just watching something about humanity facing extinction and struggling to survive makes my day. I don't know, I can't get enough of it. My favorite parts in a zombie movie always involve how it started, and how everyone comes to terms with what is going on.
Land of the Dead doesn't really deal with that, and is a look a bit into the future. I thought it was quite fun, especially when they showed the living dead to be evolving. Strange thing about the nudity though. For this genre, it seems to be a necessity alongside the gore.

John Romero was involved in a zombie movie?

I think he meant George Romero, isn't John Romero the guy who worked on Doom?

I didnt like Land of the Dead really at all. I hated all the stupid human drama that was involved, fuck that, just kill fucking zombies or get killed by zombies. Its only redeeming value was the gore. Thats why 28 days later ruled, it was just about survival.

I didn't like Land of the Dead.
I didn't like 28 Days Later all that much either.
I liked the remake of Dawn of the Dead and Shaun of the Dead though.

For a rather good zombie flick check out Biozombie. It's a cheesy HK zombie flick, but is done surprisingly well.

I liked Land.
I didn't like 28 Days Later all that much either.
I liked the first half, but hated the half once they arrived at the base.
I liked the remake of Dawn of the Dead and Shaun of the Dead though.
Me too.
