My wife says I seem so comfortable in this country, and I do. I felt so alien in Pakistan these last fourteen years.

It's harder to get emancipated than you'd think. Especially for a 12 year old.

At the same time it all feels a bit surreal. Sometimes it feels really normal like I never left and doesn't feel unusual at all. Sometimes it feels amazing to have this new life. I guess it hasn't really hit a part of me yet.
