Have I ever told you guys how I live with tree-hugging hippies? They're actually quite intelligent and not the more typical no real understanding of how anything actually works environmentalist. So these girls occasionally do things like setting up protests, rallies, fund-raising events and all that jazz but more typically just do the be the change thing.
On the other end of things, I live with an Economics major and I'm a Finance major so you can see how our house would be filled with arguments over current events and politics on almost ideological basis alone.
With the election currently going on, there's often reporters trying to interview students at the University. One of these students was my roommate who mentioned that we have political discussions in our house all the time. Apparently this is quite rare so CBC decided to come to our house, get us talking about politics and record it.
We ended up getting a 5 minute segment basically consisting of soundbites from some of our better rants. I ended up getting two little spiels in which was fun.
I didn't at all recognize my voice when it came on. I know that everybody's surprised by their recorded voice but I was pretty shocked at how different it sounded from the voice in my head.
