Sin & Punishment

Neat little rail shooter on the Wii VC. It was a N64 title but never made it over shores and it was quite valuable as an import title. I checked out some videos, looks fun.

These rare to find games appearing on the VC/XBLA lighten the hope that I may see the grandest of all import titles coming: Panzer Dragoon Saga.

That would be so awesome.  I've checked ebay for that game probably every month or so for like 8 years.  My Saturn begs me for it, and I must constantly deny it the pleasure.  It's still just too fucking expensive, and probably will continue to be for... ever.  If I won the lottery, though, it'd be one of the first things I got.

Also, Sin and Punishment looks neat.  I saw that it was done by Treasure, so you have to know it's something special.

It is something special.  I picked it up on the VC yesterday.  I got a great deal on the Wii iteration and was told that it carried over some story elements from the N64 game.  I'm only a few levels in, but it's easily one of the better N64 titles I've played.  The controls get a little convoluted though.  I'm sure it made a little more sense on the N64 pad and not the Classic Controller.

The story doesn't make a ton of sense right now, but then I didn't really purchase the game for a narrative.

Easily worth the 12 bucks.  And if you buy it at Amazon.com, you don't have to suffer buying wii points and having some left over.

Sin and Punishment reminds me a good bit of Star Fox 64.  I'm having a blast with it.

So I just finished the game.  Shit really gets difficult there toward the end, even on easy.  Last boss is pretty epic considering.

Definitely a game I'll go back to time and time again to improve my score.  Couldn't imagine playing this game using the N64 pad.  Even the original classic controller gave me hand cramps.  Eesh.
