Last time I saw that video, it had 18 million views.  It's up over 23 now.  He went on to win the whole thing, fix his teeth, and tame his raw voice with lessons.  He toured around some, one stop being a network morning show in New York (Today, I think).  He's got an album out.

Good for him.  He alone justifies the whole American Idol kind of show.  If only there were more stories like that one.
