SHERLOCK HOLMES VS. JACK THE RIPPER, FIRST IMAGES

Frogwares Studio and Focus Home Interactive are pleased to reveal the very first screenshots of Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper that will be released for PC in March 2009. Recognized as one of the best adventure games and applauded by the press around the world, Sherlock Holmes is back with probably the series’ most terrifying investigation. The player will launch into the hunt for the most dangerous serial killer in England’s history: Jack the Ripper.

1888, London, Whitechapel district, a horrible series of crimes takes place in this East End district, atrociously mutilated women are found dead. The police has a hard time finding a serious lead and the murders continue, creating a real psychosis. Sherlock Holmes sets out to find clues in the dark, gloomy streets of Whitechapel searching for the macabre trail of the one that the press calls Jack the Ripper.  During the terrifying adventure, Sherlock will attempt to shed some light on the mystery that shrouds the identity and motive of the one who hides behind the terrifying nickname.

Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper will offer players two different 3D view modes, a third person view in the pure adventure game point & click style and a first person view. The player will be able to play in one or the other modes or even combine them for greater immersion in this terrifying adventure.  Other novelty, the player will also be able to use an original system for piecing together crimes in order to test hypotheses as the investigation progresses to find the terrifying serial killer’s bloody trail.
I'm glad that just like the Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened - Remastered Edition, both 1st and 3rd person modes will be available to the player to choose from in the next Sherlock Holmes Vs. JTR game.

I still need to pick up Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis (AKA Sherlock Holmes Vs. Arsene Lupin)
