Mini fridge recommendations?
« on: Saturday, August 01, 2009, 02:10:40 PM »
The fridge in my office died on Friday, now I need to find a replacement. Does anyone have a suggestion for some brands or models which will a) actually chill food to a temperature where it won't spoil, and b) work for at least a year or so before dying pathetically? Usable freezer compartment is a bonus. Storage should be sufficient for at least a few beverages, a take-out box, and some odds and ends.

I'm suddenly thinking my Costco membership is a good thing to have.

I used to have one in my old basement apartment, and it had a working freezer... and it did last a good number of years.  But I forget who even made it.  This was some years back.  So I guess this post is pretty much completely useless.  Sorry.

you work in an office? I don't know why that seems so strange.

Yeah, I always figured you locked yourself in a basement somewhere and lived off some inheritance.

You'd think a man like that would know a great deal about mini-fridges.

Oddly enough, I was asking all of you on the basis that you are probably too poor and hobo-ish to afford proper refrigerators. I have also put together this chart which will explain the state of my employment. It mostly uses pictures, which I think is important since none of you can read.

Returning to the subject at hand, it turns out that Consumer Reports was more than willing to answer my question as soon as I forked over for a subscription.

Which confirms our suspicions that you must usually have to pay for it.

You prick, my parents were killed in a horrible refrigeration-related accident.
