Man, De Niro has really let his career fall into the shitter. Granted, his movies do well, but he's going to be remembered as a sellout money maker rather than the influential actor he once was.

And I've got nothing against Wahlberg as an actor, but he isn't the dude tailor-made to play this part and anyone else is just an insult. Aside from that, I can't see Wahlberg doing this at all. He just doesn't seem like the right guy at all for it.

There are is very little to no hope for any game that get turned into movies.

You just can't translate most games into movies - most games are TOO long for the movie setting, which is a usual one-shot deal for around say 1 hour 30 mins to (the highly doubtful) 3 hours.

Often, a lot of the elements that we love about games, when they're translated into a movie - they are either flat-out missing and/or just don't work in the movie environment at all.

Games-to-episodic TV translations, I think, would be a much better idea.

Well, this is really going to suck. And in my opinion, I'm good with it just staying a video game. The games are so well done, and the story perfectly told through the game, it doesn't need a live action version. It's fine how it is.

Well some good news, the director and the actors accompanying with it, including Mark Wahlberg, are no longer attached to the movie. So it's all up for grabs again... Fillion to still have a chance? Probably not, but man, I will continue to hope.

Ehat is up with this obsession the internet has with Nathon Fillion getting this role?

I mean the dude is just too freakin' old for the role. Has anyone even seen what he looks like now? And this is the first movie. Getting it out the door would take three years, and by then he'll be even older. Plus it is a huge investment, and if it takes off, they'd want it to become a franchise.

I agree that Whalberg was just awful for the spot, but Fillion was never going to get it.

I've almost stopped caring who they cast as Nathan Drake.

My vote for Sully (Victor Sullivan) goes to Bruce Campbell. After seeing him as Sam Axe in Burn Notice I think he could really pull off the role. Also coz Bruce Campbell is just awesome.
