Meh. I thought FEZ was fantastic, and I don't know thing one about Fish really other than the couple things I've seen. I'm inclined to agree with Pyro. This is really just a case of a creative guy with maybe not the best handle on social interaction spending too much time talking to people. He should have realized how easy it was for him to get all worked up, and then just turned off the Internet and gotten back to work. There are always douchebags, or even just reasonable people who don't like you, agree with your standpoint, or like what you produce. They aren't your market, so just do the work for the people who are.
EDIT - Interesting article, X. I think that and the first few comments were reasonable. No matter how dumb you act, what stupid stuff you say, or the mistakes you may make, people are people, and it definitely hurts to get a lot of shit tossed at you. And on the Internet, people will just accept the stuff as fact and agree with public opinion. I know people who have never read a word about Fish and aren't into indie games, but are still entirely convinced he's an asshole and crybaby. You have to learn how your buttons get pushed and build up defenses against weak moments where you lash out or do something dumb. We all do stupid shit sometimes... just have to find a way to chill out and carry on.
