Topic: Firefly MMO in the works

I'm not a big fan of Firefly but some people here might be interested in this:

Multiverse, maker of a free MMO-creation platform, plans to announce Friday morning that it's struck a deal with Fox Licensing to turn the show into an MMORPG in the fashion of Star Wars Galaxies or Eve Online.

Imagine if done right... this could be so awesome..

And just for a second forget Firefly. This could be a game about Space Pirates!! Think Privateer!!!! Man I miss Wing Commander.

I'm not into MMO RPG's, but this sounds interesting. Sounds a little like EVE.

I am skeptical at best.  Still, could be cool, who knows.  They're also doing a Stargate MMO, which I find really odd.  Is there really enough interest in these franchises to justify these moves?

Anyway... what do you mean you aren't a big fan of Firefly?  You mean I have to gut you and string you from the ceiling by your own intestines?

I read about some of the stuff that happened in Eve on PC Gamer. The biggest clan that had ruled the roost for years, years... was taken down by one guy who recruited a conspirator. Again MMOs are just at a level of nerdhood I can't go to, but reading about that was pretty cool.

I also read about how this one group took down another huge group because they got a bunch of people to infiltrate, then everyone showed their true colors and decimated them.  Interesting concepts for an MMO.

I didn't hate it, it was just midly interesting to me.

A lot of stuff I hear about Eve is always really cool. I couldn't be able to live two lives to play it, but I always enjoy hearing about the events that happen.

Plus, it's like years old but it still looks freaking awesome.

Hey we should all secretly join Eve, infiltrate groups and then take them down one by one... muhahahahahahah....muhaha...muhahah..mumumumhahahaha.

Eve does seem pretty cool, except it felt like playing a spreadsheet when I tried the free trial.
