Dell Inspiron 9400
Dual 2.0 GHz
2 Gigs of ram
256 MB ATI card... not entirely SURE which one... but oh well
100 gig HD

I wanted something for school just to take notes, but since I got straight A's last year, my parents gave me a grand to juice it up a bit. I felt guilty because quite frankly I didn't deserve it. All I did last year was smoke weed and party. The A's were quite frankly a fluke. It's cool though, it's got bluetooth, and voice recognition built in. I tried it out, you can sit and talk and it will type it all out for you. This will be invaluble for school and notetaking. I'm currently in the process of getting it all set up with all the programs and stuff.

Nice of them really... especially since they were able to sit down and talk for an hour about it without fighting.

Sometimes people really had no business being married in the first place.

Anyway, I still have my desktop, this is just for school and all that.

But yeah, I was stoked, so I thought I'd share with you cretins

I've got an Inspiron 6000. It's not quite as good as yours. Only a measely 64 meg card and 1 gig ram. It runs games that are a few years old fairly well, but I don't really game much anymore on the comp so it's not really an issue. I also have a DVD burner which I never use. I'm slightly jealous of your faster system.

Anyway, nice laptop. You should look into this Microsoft Software, I think it was called OneNote or something. A kid in my class used it and he said it was awesome for taking notes. He said he didn't have to worry about the order of anything he typed in because it was real easy to re-arrange, and you could group certain sections. You could also use the mouse to draw, which was good for diagrams drawn on the board.

I'd say congratulations, but you bought a fucking Dell. I hate those people. Bad experiences with both them and Gateway. So, yeah. Hopefully it works well for you. It's a pretty nice rig regardless. You should be able to play some games on there while your professors aren't looking.

I don't have anything against dell. It's just that this dell "saleslady" came to my house once, and she didn't know anything about computers. So I asked her how she ended up being a saleslady. Turns out she said she wasn't looking for a job because she had just graduated (pol-sci graduate). But anyway she tagged a long with a friend who wanted a job at dell. The boss got the girl i was talking to as his assistant, he told her he'd train her up and all that stuff. She said she couldn't believe how nice he was to her and everything. she rambled about him a lot and his family.. I was thinking to myself during the conversation "this girl's dumb and is being used." a year later, i saw her again with a baby.. her boss got her pregnant and so she's now a mistress.

I have the Inspiron 700/710M. It is built for a different kind of laptop user, but I love it. And I can play WoW. ^_^
