Bolded what I'm interested.

Circuit City will have Fable: The Lost Chapters (PC version) for $10 starting Dec 31st, so I'll have to go grab that one for sure. To pass the time, starting tomorrow Best Buy will have Quake 4 for $15, so I may pick it up finally.

Color me interested.  I've been meaning to pick up Minish Cap for God knows how long, I've been meaning to get Fable just because I played through it and never bought it, and Quake IV I wouldn't mind having around.  I could use a good shooter.

Too bad a bunch of the Toys R Us stores bit the dust.

Most of the games I would want on there I already have. If you have a DS you should look into Advanced Wars and Castlevania. You really can't go wrong for those prices.

Lucky for me I believe most of the TRUs around me avoided being closed. I'll definitely grab AW:DS and Castlevania, plus Zelda on GBA. Metroid pinball and Rub Rabbits I'm on edge...if they have em, cool. If not I wont feel bad.

Was Battalion Wars good? I don't really remember how the reviewers took it.

It was sorta in the middle. Most places thought it was pretty cool though.

Myself, I grabbed the game in one of those two for one sales that Toys R Us had from time to time before my local one closed, but then like an idiot never actually started it up.

Metroid Pinball was interesting. The thing that bothered me was tilting the system was controlled through the touch screen, but you needed both hands to do the flippers. It was awkward to try to use your thumb to get to the touch screen or stop using one of the buttons and do it with your hand. They really should have just set it to the shoulder buttons somehow. The game itself was pretty cool though... just about as cool as a pinball could get really.

Fable: TLC's great action/RPG. Get that!!! It was worth $35 when it came out -- way easily worth $10.

Quake 4's awesome. I paid $19.99 for the Special DVD Edition of Quake 4. If BB has that Edition, try and get that edition b/c it comes w/ TWO DVD's -- one DVD  for Quake 4 and the 2nd DVD has Quake 2 + expansions and the Making of Q4.

I should note, GRAW PC is $15 @ BB this week, as well....

Did they really?  I had no idea.  We have all the same ones still around.

Fable's a steal for $10. :)

And Quake 4 is just another awesome entry into the Quake series, basically. Quake 4's SP feels like Quake 2 -- but w/ the new D3 tech, lots of action, and lots of AI teammates. The MP feels like classic Quake 3: Arena. This is one of Raven's best, if you ask me -- yuh, Quake 4 is great and doesn't dissappoint one bit.

I just had a look at some scans of the Gamestop/EB ad for this week. They have Battalion Wars and Chibi Robo for $10 each.

They also have 30% off Guild Wars games, which ends up being:

Guild Wars = $28
Factions = $35
Nightfall = $35

Amazon sells Factions and Nightfall for that price anyway, so it's not a big deal. Though I wonder if I should grab the original at this price. Decisions, decisions....

I do want it, but I can't justify the expense.  Especially since I'm now attempting to get my hands on first edition (1889, 1893) copies of Lewis Carroll's Sylvie and Bruno books, and those don't come cheap.

Nightfall's pretty good. Was worth my $25.

I need to give it more time.

Yuh, the original GW is worth $30.

The only thing that concerns me is I have no idea how well GW performs on dialup. WoW works wonderfully. Theres no demo or trial for GW so I cant test it myself. I hear it works ok...but I read about it having to download towns and stuff. Having to wait an hour to load a new area would suck.

:-* you idol. Yea, Ive been following Battalion Wars for a while and I was pretty excited about it. It got pretty good reviews all around, I think its main hit was its length. 10$ would be well worth the investment.

Another thread at CAG says on the 26th Walgreens flyer has a coupon to get a 1GB Sandisk SD card for $20. Would be good for those Wii owners.

Well, my TRU didnt have any of the games I wanted. Sucks. If anyone happens to find one with an extra copy of Advance Wars DS, I'd be happy to repay.

I ended up grabbing the original Guild Wars today thanks to my brothers gift card it was close to free. Installing now (its downloading something...damnit).

I also picked up a used copy of Crazy Taxi 3 for Xbox. I love CT...just had to get it.

*EDIT*

Le sigh....7MB downloaded so far and its at 45%.

Yeah, I got it. I played a little bit of it...not really what I expected. And the slight tilt/lean of the camera as you run around makes me dizzy. I've uninstalled it for the time being.
