Mark, 29, said: "I was shocked that I could fly to a major international airport on a child's passport."

Airline staff had twice examined his passport and failed to notice the photo was that of toddler Alicia.

Mark, from Rayleigh, Essex, added: "Fortunately I had my driving licence, which has my photo."

A spokesman for easyJet said: "Staff misread Mr Coshever's passport and have been disciplined."

I can imagine what was going on...

Staff member 1: Are you sure this is right? The name says Alicia and this is a man, and he doesn't look anything near two years old!

Staff member 2: Sssshhh! As long as he doesn't wear a turban and a beard he isn't a threat.

I'm sure the Von Trapp family singers get through security easier than Omar the tent maker. But this is crazy.  No one read any part of that passport.

When I flew to Mexico, they didn't even check our credentials at all.  On the plane, they make you fill out this visa form, which Jennie and I did.  But we accidentally mixed them up.  I had hers and she had mine.

The customs agent in Cancun took her birth certificate and my immigration form and stamped the form.  Then I came up and he took Jennie's form and as I was digging in my bag for my birth certificate, he just waved it off as he stamped her form.

I couldn't believe that.  I mean sure, I can see that Mexico wouldn't be trying super hard to keep Americans out for any reason, but I thought it was really lax anyway.

I wonder how long it will take terrorists to realize that they are being racially profilied so intensely, that it is just easier to cut their beards and try to look more American for one final trip

Pug, isn't cutting off your beard in a muslim society the equivalent of cutting off your balls? I mean, you aren't considered a man if you don't have a beard, right? Us americans know so much about the muslim culture  ;)

haha no it isn't anything like that. Keeping a beard is a 'sunnah', which means to try and do as the prophet did. It isn't mandatory.

Yeah, and those guys cut off a lot more than just their balls.  They blew themselves up.
