Ok. schlotzky5 is this guy that used to be a pretty regular poster here.  Well not so much here as in here at Overwritten.net, but here as in here in the community.

schlotzky5 is straight.  For some reason, Pugnate just started including him in gay references.  But not like making fun of him.  Almost like he was sympathizing with him or using him as an example of someone that was being hurt by anti-gay remarks and actions.  Basically, just like he brought him up earlier in this thread... almost in passing, but definitely gay.

I still remember the first time I saw it.  I knew Pugnate was just being an ass and it was absolutely hilarious.  schlotzky5 responded simply, "Uhhhh... I'm not gay."  But that never stopped Pug.  It was basically like Pug never saw his responses.  Good stuff.

I'll look into it.  One thing we'd like to do is link everything heavily to the forum, which means we probably have to use Joomla!, Mambo, or our own custom code which Antares has been working on.

To put it more properly, I was working on it until cools offered to take over and about 2 weeks later dropped off the face of the earth having done virtually nothing

I can't remember how it started exactly.

It was in that final thread at AOG where we were all upset at Ducky for bad mouthing us and making S&M moderators. I thought the mood was too somber so I was trying to break the ice. I can't remember exactly what I said, but it was something along the lines of,"This website has done a lot of good as well. It has allowed gay gamers like Folk, Duckfat, VSC, Madzim and Schlotzky5 a safe haven where they don't have to put with anti gay jokes."

I have to say the only purpose of that sentence was to do the Schlotzky5 joke.

I had completely forgotten about it until Schlotzky5 quoted the sentence and simply wrote,"Umm..I am not gay."

Poor Schlotzky5. I didn't know he was really pissed Ghandi. If he was I should apologize to him, he is a good guy.

This is cracking me up. I seriously doubt he holds a grudge. I've remember that he was one of the few revolutionaries who left, but I don't think he was the one you got on. It was someone else. Anyways, I hope he views this thread and laughs at it. I think he drops by every now and then.

Back to the thread topic
-------------------------
Okay, back to the Virginia massacre, MSNBC has an article attacking Jack Thompson on him blaming video games for the massacre -- yet, Cho was not an avid gamer.

Must read stuff, guys.

Quote
Meanwhile, by Tuesday, The Washington Post had posted a story on its Web site stating that several youths who knew Cho said that in high school he'd been a fan of violent video games, especially "Counter-Strike."

But a short time later, the newspaper removed that paragraph from the story without explanation. Meanwhile, authorities released a search warrant listing the items found in Cho's dorm room. Not a single video game, console or gaming gadget was on the list, though a computer was confiscated. And in an interview with Chris Matthews of "Hardball," Cho's university suite-mate said he had never seen Cho play video games.

None of this seems to matter to Thompson.

"This is not rocket science. When a kid who has never killed anyone in his life goes on a rampage and looks like the Terminator, he's a video gamer," he told MSNBC.com.
Maybe Cho watched a lot of movies???
Look at the pics of him holding the hammer -- remind anyone of "Oldboy"?

People can draw "inspirations" from anything, especially in entertainment -- movies, books, poems, video games, music, etc etc. People can be inspired by many things -- other people, even. We all know Cho idolized Kleibold and Harris, obviously.

So, stop singling out video games if you're going to try and blame one thing, Jack.

Quote
Kids these days
Dr. Karen Sternheimer, a sociologist at the University of Southern Calfornia and author of the book " Kids These Days: Facts and Fictions About Today's Youth," disagrees. She believes that it didn't require much skill for Cho to shoot as many people as he did. After all, eye witness accounts indicate many of the victims were shot at point-blank range.

And for all of Thompson's claims that violent video games are the cause of school shootings, Sternheimer points out that before this week's Virginia Tech massacre, the most deadly school shooting in history took place at the University of Texas in Austin… in 1966. Not even "Pong" had been invented at that time.
True.

Quote
"One thing that people often don't realize is that in the years since video game sales have really exploded, not only have youth violence rates decreased but violence rates in the U.S. have declined precipitously," she added.[/b]
Makes sense to me; video games are another way to just have fun and escape the real world.

Quote
Meanwhile, the members of Empire Arcadia — a grassroots group dedicated to supporting the gaming community and culture — have been so incensed by the recent attempts to blame video games for the Virginia Tech shootings that they've begun planning a rally in New York City with the assistance of the ECA.

"There we will protest, mourn and show how real gamers play video games peacefully and responsibly," organizer Johnson wrote on the group's Web site. "This demonstration is to show that gamers will not take the blame of this tragic matter but we will do what we can to help put an end to terrible events like this."

Johnson says that, ultimately, he hopes the rally — scheduled for May 5 — will help people better understand video game enthusiasts like him.

"We are normal people," he says. "We just play games."

That's awesome.  What else can I say?

And Dr. Phil definitely needs to shut the fuck up.  The idiot is suffering from Oprah syndrome right alongside Rachel Ray.  Don't know jack fucking shit about your field?  Don't deserve recognition because of your lack of skill and intelligence?  Well, just make Oprah like you!  Then you can get magically famous and rich without having to be even remotely worthwhile!  I mean come on, he talks about mixing videogames with a psychopath or sociopath and rage issues and then you're going to get catastrophe.  Do you even know what a fucking sociopath is, you sophomoric little weasel, or did you just throw open your dictionary and hope for the best?  Sociopaths are a huge problem in *any* circumstance, and you're going to have problems with them even *without* stimulus, not to mention the 18 billion *other* kinds of violent imagery that are out there.  Sit down and shut up you degreeless hack.

We already know Thompson is an idiot, which he seems to be proving with a vengeance about now, but it's refreshing to see such doubt cast on him by a major media outlet.  Cheers to that.

Going back off topic, I've compiled a rough history of our community.

-The exodus from IGN.

-Closely followed by Grey King revealing that he's like 6 years old and making me look at food in a whole new way.

-The move from gamers.com

-My change in allegiance from Keeb to Hoob.

-Nick and I pretending I was a supple 17 year old blond girl on some fighting forum he found.

-Duck asking for donations.

-My change in allegiance from Hoob to Keeb

-Madzim and I butt heads.  He's alright 90% of the time but has a massive chip on his shoulder.

-Duck hires on Sisko kid

-Duck decides to change the mission statement of the site from one based on tolerance of a person, regardless of race, sex, beliefs, or sexuality to one based on politics and social issues associated solely with the stereotypical homosexual community.

-Madzim and Sisko feed off each other, and try to "enlighten us or chase us out of town"

-Someone finds a post on another site basically badmouthing us as bigots because we don't agree with the change in the site.  They neglect to mention that it would be foolish to assume that we'd 100% support a change that pretty much cut all of the content providers out of the target audience and focused entirely on something that they could not relate to.  You can find the main thread here: http://gamers.experimentations.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2379&hl=duckfat&st=40 (there were other small ones, but this is the main one which set everything off).  It should be noted that Duck's change of tone towards the end of the discussion happens immediately after we all found out about it.  I think the thread in itself is funny not only in it's hypocracy (we need diversity over there...lets flood it with politically charged gay people who generally all think the same way) but also the little things.  Like, "I refuse to go to a forum with children"  Followed immediately by *covers nose with paw*.  I think the average age at AOG at the time was 21, and the furry count (by far the more important measure of mental maturity) was at an even zero.

-We all just leave and move to some invisionfree boards.  I stuck around both for a little while, recieved a few PMs from Duck, madzim, and sisko.  Duck is trying to get me to try to convince everyone to come back (didn't even bother), madzim and sisko are telling me they're leaving and everyone should come back.  You three jackasses just pissed off everyone who provided quality content, deal with it.  AOG stagnates, the forums get about a post every week, there are no editorial updates for a few months, and threads like this start showing up:
http://www.gaymer.org/newforum/index.php?showtopic=1687&hl=alloutgames
I notice that everyone in the place (all six of them) is a pre teen (ironic) with teenaged angst political views that they can't even elaborate upon because of a complete lack of critical thinking.  The saddest part is that with all the talk of making it a gay orientated political(-gaming?) site after we left all the posts were about comic books and gumdrops.  There may have been one topic on politics which probably went something like "I hate bush!"  "Yeah, me too!".

-Antares fronted the bill for a new site and we moved here.  I think it's in the process of getting off the ground right now.

-The cataclysim

-and that takes us to the present.  We're here and AOG is basically a site which links to soft core unintentional flash porn.  I imagine the future will consist of Que hunting down pretty much all of us and killing us for various transgressions and the one surviving member (Ren) hitting puberty.

NatchDan, TheGreyKing (abbreviated TGK, short for "fucking idiot") was a fucking idiot. He is what you get if you take a rabid squirrel, a monkey, have them mate, then feed the offspring mercury tablets for three years to induce retardedness, and throw a keyboard in front of it. What comes out? Absolute shit. Oh, wait, that's because he's typing with his ass.

That's an amazing history. One question:

The Grey King was one of us. I think he was imported from IGN and he was good friends with us. In fact such good friends that he regarded Savarian_Syan as his sister (don't ask :P). One time there was some sort of a disagreement on the forums, I don't even remember what about.

Suddenly he started flaming everyone and then out of the blue posted an infamous image known as tub girl. It was the most vile disgusting of images, and many of us needed therapy (except for Keebler who beats off to that image). We've had random people come in here and post retarded images before, but this was the first time and only it was someone we knew.

Then there was Goldendarko, who returned to us at AOG. Anyone remember that? :P

yeah, I don't know what the story was with Darko since I didn't inter-hang with any of you clowns at AOG (TGK invited me to gamers.com.  No idea why, I had no idea who he was at the time).  I do remember his retarded posts later though and couldn't figure out if he was an elaborate joke or just someone with hoobism.
