I've met a number of students from Scotland, and most of them seem to believe in Nessie. :S

Well, Nessie is a huge boost for the tourism industry there, and surely around the Loch he's a huge source of revenue for the tourism industry. He's probably fabricated in order to boost tourism, it wouldn't surprise me. It's still fun to speculate though
