Not sure what I'm asking here...

So, Megan and I have this friend, we've known her for a long time. She used to live next door to us in our old apartment. Anyway, this friend is really nice and shes cool. Well this friend also happens to be getting into the adult entertainment industry. She's done some stuff for Naughtyamerica, my friends hot mom, which is pretty much the same company I guess. Anyway, she is going to open her own website. An amateur thing, with pics and videos. Well, she approached us a couple days ago, and asked if we could help her do this, and she would give us a percentage. She mainly wants us to help her take pictures and videos of her for her website. She said she wanted to someone she could trust to do this, and being the very open nice people we are, we came to mind first. Now Megan as I are exclusive to each other, so there would be none of THAT going on, we wouldn't be in the pics or anything at all. We would just take them when she needed an update. Megan mostly, since shes the photography chick. But I'm not sure what to say. I'm all for helping out and such, but I'm not sure if I want to be attached to that in anyway. I'm also kind of worried about the affects on my career it could have. I want to be a fire fighter. Thats what I'm going to school for, and I may be a volunteer soon. Hopefully I'll get on and get payed. but what could this wesite thing do to me? Could it get me fired if they found out I was involved in it in any way? Or what, I'm not sure...there are other things as well.

I guess what I'm asking is...Would you do it?

I'm sure my answer is obvious, but I guess somebody has to stand up for the moral minority.  No, I wouldn't, but that's due entirely to the fact that I wouldn't want to assist a friend in doing something I think is harmful.  I've sort of had some experience with that, though the situation was a little different, but... yeah, I'd want to stay as far away from that as possible.  It's less a morality issue, actually, and more just the fact that I've seen it do bad things to people.  Your/her mileage may vary, but I still have bad feelings about it all.

Ok, after you tell us her porn name, you go ahead and do this.  It could be lucrative, and there really isn't much of a downside for you.  Run all proceeds through your girlfriend or insist on getting paid under the table and the fire department will never know.  Beyond that, I don't know about there, but here at least that wouldn't be reason to fire someone from a public institution (legally). The problem would arise in getting the job with this on your record I guess, but two things to consider: I don't know a fire fighter who doesn't love porn and if your name doesn't pop up on google as some porn site administrator I don't think they'd find out.

But really, I think we need to know her name so idol can get his pics.

I'd say go for it, but I actually know what you're going through.  While I was in college my roommate's girlfriend wanted me to start a website for her to do something similar.  Of course, she was disgusting.... I declined on the grounds that I didn't have the web developing skills to create a commercial website, but the honest truth is that the whole situation wierded me out more than a little bit.

So go ahead and do it just don't later try to become a politician, police officer, school teacher, etc as you'll get shut down pretty quick for your past shady porn history.

Yeah, I kind of do too.  On one hand, he's in porn and maybe the most laid back guy ever...which is awesome because he throws out shit like "Why are you guys going to work?  You don't have bosses...lets just go to a patio", which is cool.  On the other, he talks about Bathing Ape shoes a lot which kind of shows how much of a fucking tool he is.

I think he specializes in MILF porn or something, and I don't even know if he's still doing it since the last time I talked to him he was having trouble finding work in California because The Governator passed some new law and other places don't pay well at all (I guess...although I nail way uglier chicks for free). A new law?  I remember an approach to stop porn makers that made perfect sense to me.  Acting is pretending.  Real sex for money is called prostitution.  Prostitution is a crime almost everywhere in the country.  I don't know what happened to that angle.  It's been a long time since I heard about it, and even then only briefly.

No, it wasn't anything like that - it wasn't even really aimed at curbing the industry at all, but more aimed at making sure all the 'actors' were American citizens.
