Amen, Que.

Funny part is if you read the comments on that page from G-Spot users, most of them are NOT really about RA3.
It's mostly about THE GREG!! LOL.

Because of the name "Greg Kasavin" I almost read the article.  Almost.  Then the fact that it was a Command and Conquer game and is an EA game made me skip it over because no matter what that article says I'm not going to get the game.

I don't know what it is... I just really hate all the C&C games I've played.

I loved the first one.  After that, I didn't stick with the franchise.  Red Alert 1 is a curiosity to me now, because it's free and I never played it.  Other than that, I really can't be bothered.

I really liked the first one, and Red Alert.  Beyond that, my interest was nil.  I tried Generals and that did absolutely nothing for me, and I didn't try any of the others.  Given the fact that Dawn of War now takes care of every last one of my RTS needs, I see no reason to return.

Producers from Red Alert 3 including Kasavin have a hands on look at Red Alert 3 over at Giantbomb.

LOL @ Jeff saying "Good to meet you" to his former boss (Greg Kasavin) and Greg smiling after he said that.

good to hear his voice after so long, even about a game I really don't care about.

Red Alert 3 issues

Characters Missing on your Activation Key
I guess a lot of people who bought Red Alert 3 have an install code for activation that has 19 characters on it.
Yeah, the code supposed to have 20 characters, though.

Some people must be not happy.

QUESTION
What can I do if my Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 install code is 19 characters instead of 20?

Answer

If you are trying to install Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 and the code is only 19 characters long, then it is missing the last letter or number. This was due to a misprint on a small number or manuals and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

There is currently a work around that may allow you to bypass this issue. Since you have the first 19 characters of the code already, you can basically try "guessing" the last character. To do this, simply enter your existing code, and then for the last character, try the letters A-Z, and then the numbers 0-9. You should eventually get the right combination, and be able to play the game. If this does not work, you can follow the instructions below.

In order to get a replacement code, please click the "Contact Us" link on the left side of the page, and attach an image of your code to the incident.

If you do not have access to a digital camera or scanner, you can fax us a copy of the back of your instruction booklet, along with a copy of your receipt, to (512)-949-4994. Please include with your fax your First and Last name as well as your incident number.

If you would like, once you have created your incident, you can also contact us by phone using the number found on page 28 of your manual.

Note: If you decide to contact us by phone, please include the incident number that you created for this issue.

Black Screen Issue
Some people who got Red Alert 3 activated have trouble w/ booting the game, as it can take some people anywhere from 2 minutes to 10 mins to load.

Or hell, not at all.

So did anybody check this game out? It's $5 on Steam right now and I really enjoyed the first two Red Alert games.

I played a few years back, it was amusing to say the least! hehe

If you liked RA2 I think you'll love RA3. It doesn't sir the pot too much, more of the same wacky antics in a RTS format but with better graphics.

It did have a very addictive multiplayer as well.

For $5 it's a heck of a deal, especially if you haven't played it yet.
