I highly recommend you read this article on the situation. The NYT interviewed the pirates. They actually seem like pretty nice people.

Yeah, just not in their seas, illegally.

I was just surprised - they sounded like pretty forthright people. No "Arrrs" or "Mateys" or any of that.
