I happened to catch a bit of SNL this weekend and Weekend Update was on. I only tuned in for one joke, but found it pretty funny so I'll post it here.
So there was a shuttle launch last week, and one of the astronauts made the first Twitter post ever from space. It said simply "Launch was awesome". Seth Meyers comments to the effect of, "'Launch was awesome'? That's a kind of a far cry from 'One small step for man. One giant leap for mankind', don't you think?!" (no kidding!)
Then he says that NASA has revealed their plans to notify the public if alien life is discovered, and SNL shows
this picture.
